Jay A. Mousa is the Associate Commissioner for the Office of Field Operations at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Mr. Mousa directs the Bureau's field operations, which include data collection, management of Federal-State Cooperative programs, and regional Economic Analysis and Information Services.
Mr. Mousa served as Regional Commissioner for the Bureau's Chicago regional Office from 2004 to April 2010 and was the Assistant Regional Commissioner for Federal-State programs in the Chicago regional office from 2003 to 2004. Prior to joining the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Mr. Mousa served as the Director of Research and Statistics for the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development from 1998 to 2003.
Mr. Mousa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Minnesota and Master of Arts in Economics from Minnesota State University.
