Phase Two improvements to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data-retrieval tools are scheduled to be implemented. Effective March 16, 2015, the BLS data-retrieval tool output no longer includes annual averages by default. You can choose to display annual averages by checking the box on the pages for output and “More Formatting Options.”
This past October 16, 2014, BLS made available a new option that allowed data users to choose whether to include annual averages when using BLS data-retrieval tools. To include annual averages, you can check "include annual averages", and click "GO" (Please note that annual averages are not available for all series).
To include annual averages from the "More Formatting Options" page, you can check "include annual averages" from the Annual Averages column, and click "Retrieve Data" (Please note that annual averages are not available for all series).
The BLS Data Finder now includes a Permalink button on the Data Viewer page. Clicking on the Permalink button will generate a unique Permalink URL that navigates to a read-only Data Viewer page pre-loaded with series IDs. read more ».
The BLS Public Data API is currently available in two versions. The newer Version 2.0 requires registration; registered users are offered higher usage API limits and access to additional capabilities, including net and percent changes and series description information for a number of BLS surveys. read more ».
