//LAUS Resilio Test 11/18/2024// In December, unemployment rates were lower in 42 states and the District of Columbia and stable in 8 states. Nonfarm payroll employment increased in 17 states and was essentially unchanged in 33 states and the District.

In September 2019, Ames, Iowa, and Charleston-North Charleston, South Carolina, had the lowest unemployment rates among U.S. metropolitan areas, 1.5 percent each. Four other metropolitan areas in South Carolina and one other area in Iowa had unemployment rates below 2.0 percent. read more »
