Include workers concerned with operating machines which smooth, buff, polish, or sharpen metal objects by the wearing away action of abrasives or machine files. May set up and operate gear grinding machine to grind surfaces of gear teeth to specifications. May grind and smooth surface of component parts prior to finishing operations. May grind and sharpen tools, knives, lawn mower blades, and scissors.
