Nonfarm payroll employment increased in 33 states over the year ending June 2017. The largest percentage gain, 3.8 percent, occurred in Nevada (where employment increased 48,700), followed by Utah, 3.0 percent (an employment increases of 43,400), and Florida, 2.9 percent (an employment increase of 238,600).

Georgia, Oregon, and Texas also had over-the-year employment increases of 2.7 percent or more.
From June 2016 to June 2017, the largest job gains occurred in Texas, where employment increased 319,300 (or 2.7 percent). This was followed by California, with an increase of 261,400 (or 1.6 percent), and Florida (238,600 or 2.9 percent).
New York and Georgia also had employment changes of more than 100,000.
