The Producer Price Index for final demand increased 9.7 percent from December 2020 to December 2021, following a 0.8-percent increase for the year ended in December 2020. Prices for final demand goods rose 13.4 percent for the year ended in December 2021, up from no change for the year ended December 2020.

From December 2020 to December 2021, prices for final demand services increased 7.9 percent, as final demand trade service prices rose 13.3 percent and final demand transportation and warehousing services prices rose 16.6 percent.
