Schedule of Releases and Revisions for Productivity Program

In fulfilling its mission to provide both timely and accurate information, the BLS Productivity Program regularly releases and revises data on industry productivity and related series throughout the year. The schedule below is designed to help data users anticipate the timing and source of revisions.

Total Factor Productivity Releases

The BLS Productivity program replaced the term multifactor productivity (MFP) with total factor productivity (TFP) with the Total Factor Productivity Trends for Major Industries release on November 18, 2021. This is a change in terminology only and does not affect the data or methodology. The use of the term total factor productivity improves the visibility and accessibility of our data and is accompanied by changes to the BLS website and future productivity news releases.
