Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages

The Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) program publishes a quarterly count of employment and wages reported by employers covering more than 95 percent of U.S. jobs, available at the county, MSA, state and national levels by industry.

In 2017, sprains, strains, and tears were the most frequently occurring injuries resulting in lost worktime, transfer, or restriction in five of six industries studied. More of these cases resulted in days of job transfer or restriction than days away from work in crop production; transportation equipment manufacturing; and amusement, gambling, and recreation.
